Flash News:The
2001 Mars Odyssey spacecraft has taken its first thermal image of Mars, and it
"exceeds expectations" according to one NASA official.
The Odyssey spacecraft successfully entered Mars orbit on October 23
and has begun its campaign of "aerobreaking", or lowering its orbit of
Mars into a circular orbit. So far everything is proceeding smoothly.
